This module performs simultaneously two functions – generates electricity and heats water. It is a combination of a photovoltaic module for electricity generation and solar thermal collector.
The face of the PVT panel absorbs solar radiation and produces electricity and warmth. A highly effective absorber, integrated in the back of the solar cells takes away the heat and by means of a heat carrier (propylene glycol) warms water. And thanks to the heat removal, the photovoltaic cells are constantly cooled, thus increasing their performance and working with optimal efficiency.
